Matthew Morrison

Early Life:-

Matthew James Morrison was born and brought up in Fort Ord, California, United States. This highly-talented personality has become widely famous for his incredible singing and acting. He had immense inclination towards acting and singing, which is why he used to participate in all of the activities of his school.  In addition to this, he was elected as Prom King and the president of his school.
He was an all rounder who used to represent his school in football.
He took his initial learning at Tisch School of the Arts, in New York City. Thereafter, he completed his further studies from the Orange County High School of the Arts.

Career :-

Morrison stepped into the world of Hollywood in the year 1999 with his musical theatre debut on Broadway. His first musical project was Footloose, which was followed by a renewal of The Rocky Horror Show.
He got his first break through Hairspray, which was created by incredibly talented John Waters. After working for the same project for some time, he started appearing as a guest star in many shows, which include Numb3rs, Hack, Ghost Whisperer and CSI: Miami.

Furthermore, he played many influential roles in several movies such as Simply Funk and Marci X, Primary Colors.
Afterwards, he appeared as Sir Harry in the small screen project Once Upon a Mattress. This was one of the roles through which he came in the sight of esteemed creators and movie makers.
In the year 2001, Matthew Morrison was selected to finish the quartet of LMNT. He was the constant figure of the band, until Jonas Persch took his place. In one of his interviews, he shared his experience with the boy band. According to him, it was the worst year of his life because being a performer he was doing something, which made him feel dejected and embarrassed.

Later on in the year 2002, he started with the original version of the music project Hairspray and he worked for almost two years for the same.

From 2005 onwards, he changed his priorities and signed for the role of Fabrizio Nacarelli in the small screen project, The Light in the Piazza. For the same project, he was nominated for a Tony Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor of the Show.

Thereafter, he joined the star cast of the CBS soap opera, As the World Turns, but he had to leave the show due his busy shooting schedule. He abruptly left the show in November 2006.
In the beginning of the year 2007, he was nominated for the role in the 10 Million Miles show, which was an Off Broadway project.

After all the short and long appearances, he signed for the Fox tele-series Glee as Will Schuester. This is one of the shows, which gave him enormous opportunities to get appreciation of the critics and the creators.
At present he is working on a solo record, which he signed with Mercury Records. It has been announced by the Morrison that the first non-edited version of this solo record is to be released by the coming autumn.
Presently he is working on ‘Bringing it to the Masses.’
In addition, he has joined Leona Lewis for his upcoming performance in Over the Rainbow.
Role in Glee:-

He played the role of a Spanish teacher who takes the responsibility to restore the lost glory of the school’s Glee club. He is presented as the key personality in the show who gathers all the singing sensations of the high school. In this series he is the protagonist or the leading man who leads the entire group to get the lost fame. In the year 2009, he won an award in the category of Best Actor in a Series.
